ENC Construction & Development is looking for an experienced project manager to join our
fast-growing team in Chicago, IL. The Project Manager will take the lead in executing,
monitoring, controlling, and closing out projects. They are accountable for the project scope, the
project team, project resources and the project budgets. The Project Manager will play a
fundamental role in ensuring communication to all stakeholders is consistent. This person will be
responsible for maintaining key relationships with contractors, engineers and architects. We are
seeking someone who has a strong work ethic and wants to be a part of a team that is innovative,

● Utilize software programs and templates to process, distribute, track and update and manage
all project documentation.
● Perform a variety of tasks including bidding and awarding trades, reviewing and processing
submittals, generating RFIs, issuing meeting minutes and invoicing.
● Estimate, value, engineer and develop project budgets with the support and direction from a
Project Executive.
● Monitor and control construction activity through administrative coordination with on-site
superintendent to ensure project completion on schedule and within budget.
● Negotiate with external vendors on contract agreements
● Confer with project staff to outline the work plan, assign duties, responsibilities and scope of
authority and review project status reports, modifying schedules and budgets as required to
meet prescribed plans.
● Manage financial aspects of project contracts to protect ENC’s interest while maintaining a
good relationship with the Owner/Client.
● Maintain relationships with Subcontractors, Architects, and Engineers to ensure construction
activity supports the project schedule and Owner requirements.
● Provide administrative direction to project staff, authorizing additional staffing to projects as
needed, resolving personnel problems as they arise and assuring a high level of staff
development, training, and morale.
● Prepare subcontracts, schedules, and other required project documents as well as obtain
proper certificates of insurance and executed documents whether they be Owner, Architect,
Engineer, or Subcontractor/Suppliers.
● Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and drawings
● Strong interpersonal skills: strong written and verbal communication
● Ability to stay organized during various phases of multiple ongoing projects
● Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
● Able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties
● Must be extremely organized, self-reliant, proactive, and detail-oriented
● Professional discretion, confidentiality and mature judgment
● Proactive approach to solving problems
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● 5+ years as a construction project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
● Experience in working in residential and commercial projects
● Experience in working on projects in the Chicagoland area and/or surrounding suburbs
● Previous exposure to project management software is preferred but not required
● Annual base salary - $100,000 - $150,000 based on experience
